Suburbs of Port-au-Prince experienced turbulent times on the evening of Thursday, October 6, following reports suggesting that Prime Minister Ariel Henry had resigned.

's alleged resignation circulated shortly before 10 p.m.

It then spread on social networks.

In the aftermath, crowd movements and gunshots were reported in various suburbs of Port-au-Prince.

Shots of joy to greet the departure of Ariel Henry, but also shots of anger against the Prime Minister accused of letting the country sink into crisis.

Ariel Henry's office did not take long to deny this information.

In a tweet published on his official account, the prime minister claims that these are purely and simply strategies of fabrications, intoxications orchestrated by ill-intentioned individuals aimed at causing further trouble and confusion.
