Wolfram Vetter, Chief Ambassador of the European Union Delegation, welcomed this meeting and recalled the importance of working to facilitate humanitarian assistance in this particular context.

As for the dean of the ambassadors, Andrea Romussi, the Italian ambassador, he invited the new power to respect international commitments, especially with regard to the protection of diplomatic rights, some of which were the target of demonstrations on 1 and 2 last October.
