The jury of the Nobel academy finally chose to highlight the war in Ukraine.
The 2022 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded jointly to Belarusian human rights activist Ales Bialiatski and Russian human rights NGOs Memorial and Ukrainian Center for Civil Liberties, the Norwegian Nobel Committee announced on October 7.
The Nobel "season", which opened on Monday with the awarding of the Nobel in physiology or medicine, rewarded two French people, physicist Alain Aspect on Tuesday and author Annie Ernaux on Thursday.
