A 72-year-old woman was sentenced by the Quimper court (Finistère) to twelve months in prison, six of which were suspended, for having used a false identity with her landlord.

False name, false supporting documents, false identity documents, and a falsified public service pension document: nothing was true in her rental file.

The defendant moved into the apartment in June 2020, reports

.

She had implemented the same scheme with her previous owner and had only paid three months' rent out of 12. She had also submitted a deposit check for 4,500 euros without provision.

She pays her rent

Her new landlord quickly noticed the fraud and filed a complaint in August 2020. Even if, this time, the septuagenarian pays her rents regularly, he asked for her to leave and signed an agreement until December 2021. But the tenant, already condemned in 2013 for similar facts, is still not part.

The lessor's lawyer therefore requested "a removal measure".

In addition to her prison sentence, the defendant is prohibited from going to the town where the accommodation is located.

It will also have to pay 1,400 euros to the owner.
