“Reckless actions of the Kyiv regime”: Russia reacted to Zelensky’s words about a preventive strike on the Russian Federation

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Zelensky's words about a preventive strike on Russia are proof of the threats posed by the Kyiv regime.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed the opinion that preemptive strikes should be carried out against Russia in order to “rule out the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons.”

“This figure, in fact, presented to the whole world yet another evidence of the threats that come from the Kyiv regime and to neutralize which a special military operation was launched,” the minister said on October 7, opening a meeting of the commission of the General Council of the United Russia party on international cooperation and support of compatriots abroad.

According to Lavrov, "the reckless actions of the Kyiv regime are aimed at creating risks of using various types of weapons of mass destruction."

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Western countries should pay attention to Zelensky's rhetoric.

“The United States, Great Britain, the EU countries should especially pay attention to this statement by Zelensky,” he told RIA Novosti.

Kyiv's Western curators should be held accountable for Zelensky's statements, Peskov continued.

The Kremlin spokesman noted that we are talking about a call to start a world war with "unpredictable monstrous consequences."

“It is these countries (USA and UK. -

) that de facto direct, direct activities and talk about intentions to protect to the very end.

Therefore, it is they who are responsible and should be responsible for the actions and statements of this person and this regime, ”he told RIA Novosti.

In turn, a member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Sergei Tsekov, in an interview with RT, expressed the opinion that Zelensky's statements about a preventive strike on Russia indicate the inadequacy of the Ukrainian leader.

“He can no longer critically evaluate many of his proposals and their consequences.

He felt not only power in Ukraine, but also the attention of the whole world and came to the conclusion that he is a person of such a level of influence and dignity that he can say things that are absolutely unacceptable for the world community, ”the senator said.

He noted that Zelensky is “always original,” and also recalled his recent demand to urgently accept Ukraine into NATO.

“Zelensky turned out to be a warmonger not only in Ukraine.

He, in principle, is trying to fulfill the same role within the framework of the entire world community.

His actions, of course, are very, very alarming.

But even more alarming is the support that the West provides him, ”added Tsekov.

Viktor Vodolatsky, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, believes that Zelensky wants to draw NATO into the conflict that is taking place inside Ukraine today by any means.

“Such statements are made only by a mentally unbalanced person.

Because an adequate person, especially the head of state, cannot make such a statement,” the deputy believes.

Shelling in the Donbass and in the liberated territories

Meanwhile, as a result of the shelling of a passenger bus by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region, five people were killed.
