The FIFA World Cup in Qatar has been the subject of harsh criticism and countless controversies ever since the country was awarded the World Cup by FIFA in 2010.

Thousands of migrant workers have died during the construction of the stadiums – in early 2021, The Guardian released a report showing that 6,500 workers have lost their lives as a result of the construction.

The organizer denies

In a little more than a month, the WC starts.

A picture has already started circulating on social media, showing what are claimed to be the very strict rules that all football fans must follow if they are to visit the country during the World Cup.

But the organizer in Qatar writes to Reuters that the viral image does not come from an official source, and that the image "contains factual errors".
