Guest of the program "France moves" on Europe 1 on Tuesday, Laurent Bataille, the president of Schneider Electric, presented a kit allowing to contain its energy consumption.

At the microphone of Elisabeth Assayag, he delivered a small demonstration by revealing a whole bunch of practical and connected objects.

Energy sobriety.

These two words have been on everyone's lips for several weeks now and a little more this Thursday with the presentation by the government of a sobriety plan which intends to respond to the energy crisis.

Tuesday, in the program

La France moves

on Europe 1, Laurent Bataille, the president of Schneider Electric, a multinational specialized in energy efficiency, offered a kit to reduce its consumption.

Steering systems

During a small live demonstration, he presented various tools for setting up a "control system" at home.

"That is to say, to offer the capacity in a few clicks to optimize the use of energy", develops Laurent Bataille.

For this, nothing like the good old thermostat that will be used to regulate the temperature of the home.

But that's obviously not all.

"Then there are series of valves that are installed on the radiators. This will allow you to remotely control your radiators room by room via an application", he explains.

And to continue by presenting the "gateway", a control system that can be connected to the wifi network via a small box.

"This box recovers all the data that comes from the products, the thermostats or the valves and it sends that to the controller which then transmits to the wifi and to your application. And then it is this application that allows you to control what 'it happens".

A kit at around 200 euros

Devices to control the energy consumption of his home from his place of work for example.

"One degree less is equivalent to 8% energy savings", recalls Laurent Bataille.

According to him, the kit presented allows energy savings of "between 18 and 30%, without creating comfort problems".

At Schneider Electric, energy sobriety is already a reality

A world leader in solutions for improving energy efficiency, Schneider Electric has a different type of head office near Grenoble.

A particularly economical building which makes it the most efficient in the world in terms of energy.

A smart building capable of producing its own electricity and regulating its own interior temperature.

Nevertheless, all these smart and connected gadgets come at a cost.

Count 200 euros for a box containing all the objects presented.

"There are 10 euros per square meter in an apartment. And if you want it to be installed by a professional, generally, you have to double."
