The governor's call in the electricity crisis: "Don't run the dishwasher unnecessarily"

The County Administrative Board has mapped how the energy demand looks like in Blekinge going forward and what supply the county has today.

There must be a preparedness if the winter gets really cold and you end up in a situation where electricity has to be a priority.

- I hope we never end up in a situation where we have to prioritize electricity, but we don't know that - and therefore we have to plan so that we can end up there, says Governor Ulrica Messing.

A grave cooler at home

The governor's big appeal to the Blekinge residents is that you yourself have to change your behaviour.

- In a short perspective, it's about your behavior and mine, trying to save electricity.

Have a degree cooler at home, shower for less time, always wash the machine full of laundry and do not run the dishwasher unnecessarily.

There are many small streams that affect this.

All of that matters to ensure that we don't end up in a situation where we have a shortage of electricity.
