It was then that two of his accomplices, disguised as police officers, went in turn to the old lady.
Fake investigators for a fake water agent
They explained to him that they were investigating thefts committed… by a bogus water official.
The victim therefore brought them in to check that everything was in place.
Then one of the criminals diverted his attention, giving his accomplice time to act and steal objects.
The two fake police officers left with 500 euros in cash, but also with jewelry and gold louis.
The value of their loot is estimated at 70,000 euros.
An investigation has been opened to try to identify the perpetrators of the theft.
