At night, the Party Ethics Committee is held to deliberate on additional disciplinary action.

For former President Lee, it is a 'Black Thursday' in which the political life is in crisis.

Lee Jun-seok loses...

180 degree change of injunction decision

The court's decision today (6th) is about the 3rd, 4th, and 5th injunction applications made by former CEO Jun-seok Lee, and it can be seen that they were all dismissed or dismissed and lost.

First of all, the 3rd provisional disposition was a request to suspend the effect of the revised party constitution, and the 4th and 5th interim dispositions were a request to suspend the execution of the duties of Jeong Jin-seok, Chairman of the Emergency Response Committee (Non-squadron) and six non-commissioned members. The application was 'dismissed'.

Let's take a brief look at the reasons for the court's decision.

Regarding the application for the third injunction, it is the court's judgment that "there is no problem with the contents of the amended party constitution, as it specifically and clearly sets the requirements so that there is no controversy about the 'emergency situation'."

Regarding the 4th and 5th application for injunction, the court said, "According to the Constitution of the People's Power Amendment, the resolution of the National Committee on September 8 (appointment of the non-commissioned chairperson) and the resolution of the Standing National Committee on September 13 (appointment of the non-commissioned member) are substantive. , it is difficult to see that there is a procedural flaw."

It is a 180-degree different situation from what the court ruled in favor of former CEO Lee on August 26th.

In August, the court accepted an application for an injunction to suspend former Vice Chairman Ho-Young Joo's execution of his duties. I created a map system.

People’s Power, Jeong Jin-seok

Jeong Jin-seok, chairman of the emergency countermeasures committee of People's Power, who actually won the injunction confrontation, said, "I am grateful for the court's wise judgment." “I was determined to make a fresh start.

Thank you for the court's wise decision.

We will do everything we can to ensure that the ruling party can establish a stable leadership system and firmly support the Yun Seok-yeol government.

The turmoil within the party has caused concern for the people and party members for a long time.

We will move forward more vigorously with a united power.

Chairman Chung made similar remarks when meeting with reporters, stating that 'it is our responsibility to support the success of the Yun Seok-yeol government since the chaos within the party has been healed'.

◇ Reporter: The national convention remains, but what is the most important task or direction?

◆ Vice Chairman Jeong Jin-seok: I think it is the duty of the ruling party to make this government successful with the support of the Yun Seok-yeol government.

Whatever the cause, it is true that the party suffered confusion due to various problems resulting from the failure to establish the leadership system of the ruling party. We believe that it is our mission and responsibility to come together and move forward vigorously.

Leaders of the people's power and party leaders also welcomed the court's injunction, and are taking the position of 'let's join forces again'.

It is showing that the power of the people is united.

Joo Ho-young, floor leader, said, "It is very fortunate that the party's leadership has regained stability," and said that the court's decision to 'quote', that is, to accept, the first injunction was also wrong.

As the court cited the first injunction, Rep. Ho-Young Joo had to step down from the position of the non-chairman.

Rep. Kim Ki-hyeon and Rep. Ahn Cheol-soo, who are party leaders, also made their statements.

Rep. Kim said, "As the uncertainty has been removed, we need to restore the party to a normal system as soon as possible so that the Yun Seok-yeol administration can succeed." I have to accept it."

The oral comments of Senior Spokesperson Yang Geum-hee, who can be said to be the official position of the People's Power, are no different.

"The people's power will tie their shoelaces again, and with the power of one again, we will run while looking at only the people's livelihoods as one," Yang said.

Lee Jun-seok "I will go my own way more lonely and lonely"

Lee Jun-seok, former representative of People's Power, posted a short position on SNS saying, "I will go my own way more lonely and lonely in the future."

After thanking the court and reminding him that he had won two elections, he wrote, "I fought with good lawyers with good morals and arguing with them alone, and I will go my own path more lonely and lonely in the future."

I would like to express my gratitude to Judge Hwang Jung-soo and the Civil Division 51 of the Seoul Southern District Court, who have been in charge of the injunction trial on political parties with little precedent and complicated interests.

I've won two elections so far and I've been at times frustrated about what I have to fight for, but I've come up with a sense of mission to fight against the lump of power.

I will fight with good lawyers with good will and arguing with them alone with legal principles, and I will go my own way more lonely and lonely in the future.

Rep. Kim Woong, who had criticized the pro-Yun-gye, wrote on social media, "The court's decision should be respected, but shooting swallows can't stop seeing."

Heo Eun-ah, a member of the pro-Lee Jun-seok system, was wary of additional disciplinary action, saying, "Today's court decision should not be used as a justification for additional disciplinary action against Lee Jun-seok." The decision remains.

Additional disciplinary action is expected...

Lee Jun-seok in crisis

On the night of the 6th, the People's Strength Ethics Committee will deliberate on additional disciplinary measures against former CEO Jun-seok Lee.

There are many observations that the choice of the Ethics Committee has expanded as the court's decision on provisional disposition has been made. Because the provisional disposition of former CEO Lee was not accepted, the Ethics Committee did not need to forcefully impose superpowers such as expulsion or solicitation of resignation.

Even if he is suspended from party membership for two or three years, he will not be able to participate in or run for the 2024 general election, which is fatal.

So, after the decision was made on the provisional injunction, there was an increased expectation that the People's Power Ethics Committee would choose 'extra party membership suspension' rather than severe punishment for the possibility of an injunction dispute.

Suspension of party membership takes effect immediately upon disposition of the Ethics Committee without having to go through the highest resolution.

In the end, regardless of the level of additional disciplinary action, the political move of former CEO Lee, who gained momentum with the citation of an injunction in August, is facing a major crisis.

The People's Power has been able to start preparing for the national convention for the election of the next leadership under the 'non-captain Jeong Jin-seok' system by wiping off the 'disposal risk' of former CEO Lee Jun-seok.
