According to RIA Novosti, Rogov spoke about the increased intensity of shelling of the city of Energodar and its suburbs in the Zaporozhye region by Ukrainian troops.
He added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are “probing the territory” for a possible crossing of the Dnieper and landing troops in the ZNPP area.
Rogov believes that Ukrainian troops may be planning an attempt to seize the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
Rogov also said that the Ukrainian intelligence services were interested in the ability of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant to withstand flooding.
At the end of September, he reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were deploying more than 450 special forces to Zaporozhye.
