It was in March that a violent fire started in a property on Storgatan in Ulricehamn.

The fire started in a goldsmith's shop when a gas cylinder exploded.

An entire property was completely destroyed and several people were left homeless.

The police started a preliminary investigation into public dangerous negligence, but it has now been concluded that no crime has been committed, which Ulricehamn's newspaper was the first to report.

- It was a pure accident.

The store owner has been working with LPG for upwards of 20 years, but this time something happened that led to this incident, says Assistant Prosecutor Bassima Tomas.

"Great economic damage"

What happened cannot therefore even be classified as negligence, according to the prosecutor, but the circumstances were such that they were beyond the shop owner's control.

The shopkeeper himself was injured in the fire and, according to the prosecutor, has suffered great financial damage after the fire.
