The Ministry of Defense is increasingly widely criticized in Russia.

A senior Russian parliamentary official severely criticized the communication of the army, this Wednesday, October 5.

It follows criticism from nationalists and from Ramzan Kadyrov and Evgeni Prigojine, who fiercely blamed part of the military chain of command on their Telegram channels over the weekend after Lyman's Russian withdrawal.

From our correspondent in Moscow,

Andrei Kartapalov is a former military commander and head of the Duma's Defense Committee, an obviously respected voice in Russia.

To express himself, he chose the Telegram channel of propagandist Vladimir Solovyov, which has almost 1,300,000 subscribers.

Vladimir Solovyov is also a figure of Russian television.

In this interview, Andrei Kartapalov minces no words.

"

The first thing to do is stop lying,

" he said.

Our homeland is in danger, the enemy is on our land.

On the new territories of Russia, but also in the west: almost all the border villages of the region of Belgorod are destroyed.

But that, we learn from anyone, from the governor, from war correspondents, on the Telegram channels... The reports of the Ministry of Defense practically do not change.

They say

"we shot down 50 missiles, hit 200 targets, destroyed hundreds of nazis etc"

But anyway, people know

!

And this is where the main problem begins.

Our people are not stupid, far from it.

He sees clearly that it is not even deemed necessary not only not to tell him the whole truth, but not even a part of it.

It is very bad.

This can lead to a real loss of credit and trust

The Russian president said this afternoon "

hope

" that

the situation stabilizes in the annexed territories

,

a phrase that sounds as much like an order as a threat.

On Wednesday afternoon, Vladimir Putin also elevated Ramzan Kadyrov to the title of colonel general, the third highest command rank in the Russian military hierarchy, just behind those of army general and field marshal.

The Chechen commander thus attains the same rank as Alexander Lapin, the soldier who was in charge of operations around Lyman and the entire eastern region.

After the withdrawal of Russian and pro-Russian forces from this key city in the Luhansk region, Ramzam Kadyrov fiercely criticized him last weekend on his Telegram channel, calling him "

incapable

"

in particular .
