drugs to finance

After the first police investigations and given the imminent risk of supplying prohibited substances that are highly dangerous to health and in the presence of minors, the agents proceeded to arrest four of the members of the group when they were preparing to perform a ritual in the council of

Langreo

.

The leader of the group used these psychoactive substances to facilitate both the capture and control of the participants in the ceremonies.

In the rituals, these substances were administered, upon payment, whose sale was the way of financing the activities of the spiritual leader and his family.

The use of these psychoactive substances was used, in some cases, as

a substitute therapy for conventional medicine

, which facilitated mental manipulation and placed consumers in a situation of greater vulnerability to their ailments.

As a result of the search carried out,

5,000 euros in cash and various foreign currency bills

have been seized , as well as different allegedly psychoactive substances such as caapi (ayahuasca), yopo, coca leaf and snuff.

Likewise, utensils for the preparation and consumption of yopo were seized, as well as other effects of interest for the investigation.
