5.7-magnitude earthquake injures dozens in Iran

More than 270 people were injured and many buildings destroyed in an earthquake that hit northwest Iran on Wednesday, with a 5.7-magnitude earthquake.

Iranian television said that health authorities in the region reported that at least 276 people had been infected.

The US Geological Survey said the quake occurred about 11.6 km from Khoy village and at a depth of 10 km.
