Sports shoes all have particularities that differentiate them, depending on the sports for which they are intended.

For example, football boots are often made of leather, as this material conforms well to the shape of the player's foot.

As for tennis shoes, they have a very flat sole and offer excellent support.

For their part, rugby boots generally have aluminum studs.

We then recognize basketball shoes by their high upper, which protects the ankle from sprains.

If you go running, prefer sneakers with good cushioning.

How to clean your sports shoes?

To keep your sports shoes in good condition for as long as possible, it is important to take good care of them.

This preserves at the same time their flexibility and their breathability, all these qualities which allow you to be efficient on the ground.

To clean running, basketball or football shoes, you can use a small synthetic brush and soapy water.

Leave out all the chemicals that could damage the shoes!

Also, don't put your sneakers in the washing machine, as many people do.

This practice contributes to the shrinkage of the stitches and can loosen the sole.

Start by removing the insole, in order to wash it separately.

You can then scrub the entire running shoe with a small brush dipped in warm, soapy water.

This will dislodge impurities while removing encrusted grime.

Then take a cloth to absorb as much water as possible inside the shoe.

All you have to do is let the sneakers air dry: it will take about 12 hours.

Be careful, do not put them in the dryer, in direct sunlight, or next to a heat source.

What is the lifespan of a pair of sports shoes?

It all depends on how you use it!

If you train intensively every day, your sports shoes will last less than if you take them out occasionally.

In general, quality running shoes are designed to last around 1,000 km.

This lifespan is influenced by several criteria, such as the weight of the runner, the possible alternation with another pair and the quality of the stride.

To know the level of wear of your shoes, the ideal is to compare them with a pair of new sneakers.

In addition, your body will show you quite quickly that the shoes no longer absorb shocks as well as before!

If your back and joints start to hurt after workouts, that's a sign that your shoes are worn out.
