“The state border between the Russian Federation and the Donetsk People’s Republic acquires the status of an administrative border between the constituent entities of the Russian Federation from 00:00 on the day following the day the President of the Russian Federation signs the relevant law,” TASS quoted the DPR Ministry of Revenue and Duties as saying.

The department explained that in accordance with this norm, from 00:00 on the day after the signing of the said law, customs control and customs operations will not be carried out across the administrative border.

On October 3, the State Duma approved federal constitutional laws on the entry of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into the Russian Federation.

On October 4, the Federation Council approved laws on the admission of new regions to Russia.
