  According to reports, this year the PNP carried out 638,560 operations across Peru to combat various forms of ordinary and organized crime, arresting more than 234,000 people, seizing more than 76 tons of drugs and 6,836 illegal weapons.

  In the fight against smuggling crimes, Peruvian police seized goods worth more than 224 million Peruvian Nuevo Sol during operations from January 1 to October 3.

In addition, 721,953 tickets were issued for traffic violations.
