In Burkina Faso, an ECOWAS fact-finding mission visited Ouagadougou on Tuesday, October 4.
She met with customary and religious leaders, who mediated to avoid a confrontation between the soldiers.
The other meeting was held with Captain Ibrahim Traoré on the continuation of the transition process for a return to normal constitutional order.

According to Mahamadou Issoufou, Captain Ibrahim Traoré has confirmed the continued implementation of the July 2022 agreement. Among other elements of this agreement, the transition missions which relate to the reconquest of territory outside the control of the State, the resolution of the humanitarian crisis and the return to democratic order.
Mahamadou Issoufou says he is totally satisfied with this interview with the new strongman of Burkina Faso.
