The two large urban development operations in the southeast of Madrid will have a Metro stop that will allow them to be connected to the rest of the underground network.

These two areas, where the Community of Madrid plans to develop a large part of the new homes in the region together with Madrid Nuevo Norte,

will be connected through Line 9

.

This was announced this Tuesday by the president of the Community of Madrid during the presentation of the informative breakfast of Europa Press of its Minister of Transport, David Pérez, where he highlighted that this infrastructure, whose tender has already begun, will allow connecting these new developments of the southeast.

"It will be vital to be able to connect all those neighborhoods"

, the counselor has subsequently exposed.

In addition to the Metro, the developments in the southeast will also have

a fast bus with priority at traffic lights that will join it with the Gran Vía de Villaverde

, thus bringing connections to different points in the south of the city, where communications are scarcer than in other parts of the capital.

This system was also announced last week by the Madrid City Council to connect the Valdebebas and Sanchinarro neighborhoods with the Ramón y Cajal hospital in the north of the city.

In Los Berrocales

, whose urbanization works have already begun in 2021 and will foreseeably end during this same month,

more than 22,000 homes will be built

.

Of these, slightly more than half will be of official protection or of appraised price.

In fact, during this past summer, the Compensation Board of this development already put the first two plots up for auction, which add up to more than 6,400 square meters and on which 300 homes will be built.

In the case of

Los Ahijones, there will be some 19,000 homes

that will make up this urban project crossed by the M-203 and M-823 roads, which will force the Community of Madrid to make a complete diversion of both in order to build in the area.

Both areas make up what are known as the Southeast Developments, one of the large housing stocks planned for the capital for the next decade.

That would include both Los Berrocales and Los Ahijones as well as the Valdecarros, Los Cerros and El Cañaveral neighborhoods, where the first residents have already begun to live.
