Kanye West, American rapper and producer, has accustomed his audience to the twists, but this time he has outdone himself.

Kim Kardashian's ex-husband is in the midst of a social storm: in his latest collection presented at Paris fashion week he brought on the catwalk

t-shirts with the words 'White Lives Matter'

on one side and the face of Pope John Paul II on the other.

From his

support of Donald Trump

to the White House candidacy, West is often the center of media attention.

West had himself immortalized wearing the controversial sweatshirt alongside

Candace Owens

, an author known for her support of Trump as a black woman and a critic of the 'Black Livers Matter' movement.

The indignant reactions of organizations and activists

, but also of thousands of people on social media,

were immediate .

The Anti Defamation League has accused the phrase that echoes the black rights movement's slogan 'Black Lives Matter' of being

"a declaration of hatred"

.

“Kanye West's decision to wear a 'White Lives Matter' shirt is

disgusting, dangerous and irresponsible

.

Some of you will run to defend it.

You should ask yourself why ... ”, writes the well-known university professor Marc Lamont Hill on Twitter.

“Everyone here knows I'm the leader,

you can't handle me

.

This is an unmanageable situation, ”Kanye said before his brand Yeezy show began, recalling when his ex-wife was robbed in Paris in 2016 and his recent litigation with Gap.

Naomi Campbell

was also on the catwalk

but did not wear the controversial T-shirt.

The rapper's eldest daughter, North West, directed the performance of a children's choir.

In 2016 Kanye West was attacked for forcing the models of his show to spend hours and hours in the sun in New York without being able to drink, so much so that one of them was passed out, but not only.

In 2018 he declared that "

400 years of slavery in America was a choice

", although he later tried to retract.
