No need to "hide" around the house, the burglar was well placed to know that he would not be disturbed.

The Lot gendarmes indicate on their Facebook page that they got their hands on the thief who during the month of August conscientiously emptied the house of a nonagenarian from Gagnac-sur-Cère who had gone to a retirement home.

The thief was none other than the neighbor of the victim, a 27-year-old man.

Tools of all kinds and even a luxury corkscrew, the searches made it possible to find more than "70 objects" in the suspect's home from the house next door.

The gendarmes also arrested a friend of the burglar, aged 22, who had made his own hunting rifle of the nonagenarian.

The two accomplices admitted the facts.

They have an appointment on December 2 before a magistrate as part of a “guilty plea” procedure.
