On Tuesday, the Swedish National Agency for Education published a report on how many Ukrainian children have started in Swedish schools in the fall semester of 2022. In total, there are now just over 6,100 students in school.

The purpose of the survey, where all municipalities in the country were asked, is to ensure that the Ukrainian students receive the knowledge and care that the school provides with student health and to see how the pressure is on the school system in the various municipalities.

In the clip, you can hear Swedish Education Agency Director General Peter Fredriksson about the shortcomings the municipalities point out regarding education for Ukrainian children.
