are trying to exert on the US elections, in view of the midterm vote, the round of elections for the congress held in the middle of the presidential term, in November.
According to intelligence information obtained by the Associated Press, the US federal authorities believe that Moscow seeks to
amplify doubts
regarding the
integrity of the electoral process
, while
Beijing
would aim to influence the political debate, with reference to Chinese interests.
The FBI sent a
warning to
state and local authorities in mid-September.
However,
they would not have been identified
credible threats to the US electoral infrastructure.
Recent
Russian-influenced
operations , which have been more pronounced than Chinese ones, typically involve
amplifying conversations
Americans have on social media or other platforms rather than creating new content, a

" that fuels American divisions, the FBI official said.

recent closure of Meta-owned Facebook accounts

Marco Rubio
of Florida.
