The Abu Dhabi Department of Health announced the update of the instructions for examining “Covid-19” for health care workers and visitors to inpatients, and those in contact with them, and called on health facilities in the emirate to adhere to them.

In a circular issued by the department, the department indicated that in light of the easing of restrictions and measures for “Covid-19” and the strengthening of recovery from the pandemic, it was decided to update the instructions for examining “Covid-19”, as it has become for workers in the health sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi who have been vaccinated or are exempt from Vaccination: A PCR test is performed every 30 days, while those who are not vaccinated are obligated to conduct a PCR test every seven days.

The new updates obligate the visitor who is grafted or who is exempt from vaccination, to show the result of a negative examination for a period not exceeding 30 days, while the non-vaccinated visitor is obliged to show the result of a negative examination for a period not exceeding seven days, with the need for those in contact with symptoms to immediately perform a PCR examination, while updates recommended Contacts are among the groups most vulnerable to complications of the disease, including the elderly, people of determination and those with chronic diseases, to undergo the examination regardless of symptoms. 

Vaccinated health workers are required to undergo a PCR test every 30 days.
