The strike continued on Monday at the Normandy refinery, near Le Havre, representing 22% of refining capacity in the territory, and which is "at a standstill" according to the CGT.

It is the largest of the eight French sites that manufacture fuel, including six refineries and two "bio-refineries", according to Ufip, the Professional Syndicate of Oil Tankers.

“Despite the social movement at the Normandy platform (…) there is no shortage of fuel because TotalEnergies has built up stocks and is currently carrying out regular imports,” a TotalEnergies spokesperson told AFP. AFP, indicating that it is the only one of the group's three refineries "on strike".

But according to a situation report communicated Monday morning by the CGT, the strike also affected the refinery of Feyzin (Rhône) where "no drop of petroleum products comes out, undermining the supply of service stations already very disturbed", from after Pedro Afonso, elected CGT in Feyzin.

The TotalEnergies group, however, refuted the term “strike” in progress on the Rhone site, due, according to him, to a small number of strikers.

The movement also affects the storage and "bio-refinery" platform of TotalEnergies in La Mède (Bouches-du-Rhône), where "no more product enters or leaves", according to Fabien Cros CGT secretary of the CSE at TotalEnergies at La Mede.

The movement has, however, been suspended since this weekend at the Donges refinery (Loire-Atlantique) and at the Grandpuits bio-refinery (Seine-et-Marne).

If the CGT sees "not a sign of breathlessness" in the mobilization, it admits "a lack of coordination" according to the sites.

"The state of mind is not the same everywhere," admitted Thierry Defresne, at the CGT.

The CGT calls in particular for a "salary catch-up" of up to 10% for the year 2022, to compensate for inflation.

For its part, management recalls having granted an average increase of 3.5% at the start of the year and refers to the opening of negotiations, initially scheduled for January 2023, and advanced to mid-November in the current context of inflation. .

In addition, the strike continued on the sites of the two Esso-Exxon Mobil refineries of Notre-Dame-de-Gravenchon (Seine-Maritime) and Fos-sur-Mer (Bouches-du-Rhône), according to the CGT .
