A setback for the former left-wing president who finds himself on waivers even though he is leading the first round and ahead of his rival by 5 points.
The polls have been wrong about the extent of Bolsonaro's support.
According to the final results Lula won 48.4% of the vote against 43.2% for the outgoing president.
