The Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council will consider agreements with new regions on October 3

“Today, the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation will preliminary consider and give opinions on four agreements signed in the Kremlin on September 30,” Klishas said.

He said that the documents went through the procedure of consideration in the Constitutional Court of Russia, and the senators have no doubts about the constitutionality of the treaties.

Earlier, the Constitutional Court approved a package of documents on the admission of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into Russia.

On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions signed agreements on the accession of these regions to Russia.
