After the municipality sent in samples of the concrete, it turned out that the pool was in poor condition.

The damage is so great that it can result in parts of the concrete coming off - and in the worst case, the entire pool wall can come off.

- We don't know how big the risk is of something happening at all to the pool and it's very difficult to assess how urgent it is, but it's not something we want to take any risks around and therefore we choose to close the swimming hall as soon as possible possible, says property manager Joakim Öhman in the press release on Vetlanda municipality's website.

An investigation into the swimming hall operations in Vetlanda has been ongoing for some time.

Now the situation is more urgent because the schools' swimming lessons are held in Myresjö, among other places.

- We have to find solutions, but what kind of solution it might be cannot be said now, says headmaster Henrik Wågesson in the press release.
