The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security made available all types of visas and residencies through its smart portal, with the entry into force of the new visa system yesterday.
The authority provided three periods for those wishing to obtain a visa to explore work opportunities in the country, which are 60, 90 and 120 days, with a bank guarantee of 1025 dirhams, while it specified within the fees prescribed for the issuance of a five-year, multi-entry tourist visa, a bank guarantee of 3,025 dirhams. It provides two types of this visa individually and the other for a family group, noting that the application for this visa is available to all nationalities through the smart portal of the authority.
In detail, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship and Customs has activated the new visa and residency system through its smart portal and smart application, as it stated that customers of all nationalities can apply for it without the need for an intermediary, and the transaction reaches them via their e-mail.
The authority stated that the new system enables customers to pay financial guarantees directly through the smart portal, explaining that the long-term tourist visa is a visa issued to all nationalities for a period of five years without a guarantor, and allows the beneficiary to stay in the country for a continuous period not exceeding 90 days, The length of stay may be extended for a longer period, provided that the entire period of stay does not exceed 180 days per year.
Within the smart services, the authority indicated that the application and issuance fees for this visa amount to 600 dirhams, in addition to 50 dirhams for electronic services and the Federal Authority, noting that the service fees may vary according to the data entered in the application.
As for the requirements for its issuance, it clarified that the applicant had provided a bank balance of $4,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies within six months, a valid health insurance document within the country, a ticket to and from the country, proof of a place of residence (hotel / residence address), a passport. Valid for a period of no less than six months, a colored personal photo.
She indicated that individuals can apply for a long-term visa through the authority's smart portal through five steps, starting with filling in the data in the smart services system, then entering the attachments, then paying the fees, then evaluating the service, and finally receiving the transaction by e-mail.
Through its smart portal, the authority has developed a number of services related to visa transactions, which saves time and effort for customers, in completing them within a short time directly, without a guarantor or an intermediary, as it provided services for issuing a new visa, extending an existing visa, modifying an existing visa, canceling an existing visa Extension of pre-entry validity.
The authority specified within the fees for a 60-day work-exploration visa - one trip, a bank guarantee of 1025 dirhams, while the application and issuance fees amounted to 300 dirhams, service and authority fees, 50 dirhams, and health insurance fees 60 dirhams.
Regarding the fees for the 90-day work-exploration visa - one trip, it indicated providing a bank guarantee of 1025 dirhams, the application and issuance fees 400 dirhams, the service and federal authority fees 50 dirhams, and health insurance 90 dirhams.
For a 120-day work visa for a single trip, a bank guarantee of 1,025 dirhams is provided. The fees for the application, issuance, electronic services and the Federal Authority are 550 dirhams, and 120 dirhams for health insurance, noting that service fees may vary according to the data entered in the application.
Truck drivers visa
The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security has provided a visa for truck drivers for three periods, which are 30, 60 and 90 days, for several trips, explaining the required documents, including health insurance covering the period of stay, a copy of the truck’s ownership, a copy of the passport of the beneficiary of the service, and a copy A colored figure. The application, issuance and service fees for a 30-day visa are 350 dirhams, a bank guarantee is 2025 dirhams, and the health insurance fee is 40 dirhams.
