Former Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula Dasouba won the first place in Brazil's presidential election held on the 2nd local time.

As of 7:55 p.m. on the same day, former President Lula is running at the top with 47.5% of the votes with 94% of the vote counting completed.

His rival, President Bolsonaro, won 44.0 percent of the vote.

Former President Lula is leading by foot over Bolsonaro, but it is certain that he will not be able to secure a victory in the first round as he is likely to fail a majority of the valid votes.

As a result, former President Lula is expected to hold a runoff against President Bolsonaro on the 30th.
