The guardianship authorities in Barcelona are still holding the young daughters of the Russian woman Elena Lang, who were seized because they allegedly "were stolen from a murdered Ukrainian family."

At the end of September, a court hearing in the Lang case took place in Spain.

RT found out that the guardianship authorities had already made other accusations against the parents, however, they also raise many questions.

At the disposal of RT were documents that the Spanish court considered as “evidence” that it was not safe for girls to remain in their own family and they should be placed in a shelter.

These are, in particular, fragments of official correspondence of employees of the ISCAT Maresme private school in Barcelona, which Elena's children attended.

In it, the headmaster expresses concern as she recounts to the other teachers her conversation with the girls' former nanny, Lourdes.

Lourdes complained about Elena's frequent calls and requests to look after the girls "even at eight in the morning on Sunday."

The children's nanny also complained that Elena forbade the children to watch TV.

In general, according to Lourdes, "she liked the girls, but working with their mother was too hard for her."

In official correspondence, the teacher also mentioned a certain episode when one of Lang's daughters came to class with a bruise on her arm.

The teacher wrote that she “doesn’t know exactly what happened,” but “didn’t believe a word” when the girl explained that she was bitten by a puppy.

In addition, the documents that served as the basis for the removal of children from the Russian woman Elena and her Swiss husband mentioned the words of neighbors who were also interviewed by employees of a private school on their own initiative.

Neighbors allegedly saw how one of Elena's daughters accidentally hit her mother with a toy, and she "gave her a terrible look and then smiled as if nothing had happened."

In addition, Lang allegedly "on purpose made the children play on the terrace early in the morning to piss off the neighbors."

Return the girls to the family

According to Russian diplomats, the girls, who are citizens of the Russian Federation, are still in the social center in Barcelona.

Earlier, RT published a photo of this institution, which looks more like a prison than an orphanage.

Representatives of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation told RT that they continue to work with local authorities and are considering options for returning girls to their families.

“Employees of the Consulate General are in constant contact with E.V.

Lang, monitor the development of the situation, give recommendations to the lawyer to develop possible steps to handle this case.

Thanks to the efforts of the employees of the Consulate General of Russia in Barcelona, E.V.

Lang was given the opportunity to meet with the children and communicate with them in Russian,” the diplomats said.

The Russian representation in Barcelona added that Elena is trying to organize the transfer of the girls to her relatives in St. Petersburg in order to release the children from the orphanage.

“In connection with the appeal of Elena Lang, the Consulate General sent a request to the Consulate General of Spain in Moscow with a request to assist in obtaining a Schengen visa for her mother Butova I.V.,” the consulate noted.

Why Switzerland is not helping

Swiss diplomats, who initially championed the rights of the girls, who are also Swiss citizens, eventually withdrew support from the family.

According to the Russian diplomatic mission in Spain, this could have happened due to the active interaction of Elena Lang with the Russian media, in an interview with which she often emphasized that the children were Russian citizens.

“Given that the girls have Swiss citizenship, similar steps (to return the children to their parents. -

) were taken by the Consulate General of Switzerland in Barcelona.

However, according to the applicant, the Swiss consulate notified her of self-withdrawal in assistance on this issue, referring to the fact that E.V.

Lang in all interviews in the media emphasizes the presence of Russian citizenship for both her and her children, ”said representatives of the Russian consulate.

According to RT, now Elena is literally forbidden to communicate with the press, threatening her with criminal prosecution if she continues to discuss the situation with journalists.

Earlier, RT said that one of Elena Lang's daughters suffers from a serious congenital disease that requires a strict diet.

According to an RT source familiar with the Lang family, in the social center where the children are kept, medical recommendations are not followed, which led to the aggravation of the child's condition.

In addition, the staff of the shelter has not yet allowed the girls' attending physician to enter the facility where they are being held.
