Shooting near children's disco - man seriously injured

On the evening of September 23, the police were alerted to a shooting in Saltskog, Södertälje.

No injured person is found at the scene, but shortly afterwards a gunshot wound man appears in the emergency room with what are considered to be serious injuries.

The shooting happened at 19:40 in the evening near the Allaktivitetshuset in Södertälje where FUB, the local association for children with developmental disabilities, had a disco.

Young people, staff and companions who were there are shaken by the incident.

- It is terrible, says operations manager Åsa Landin.

25-year-old man with gunshot wound

Shooting in Ronna Center at 9pm on the evening of Wednesday 28 September.

The police find no one injured at the scene, but a 25-year-old man has made it to Södertälje hospital on his own.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Man in his 20s shot to death

In the early evening of Friday 30 September, a young man is found with a serious gunshot wound in Ronna.

He is in his 20s and is treated by paramedics at the scene but dies from his injuries.

Two people are now under arrest on suspicion of murder.

When SVT Nyheter talks to residents in the area, several are concerned about the development.

- It is terrible wherever it happens and it happens in so many places, says Södertälje resident Madeleine Propts.

Man in his 40s shot dead

In a shooting near a school in the Ronna district of Södertälje, a man was shot dead on 1 October.

It concerns a man in his 40s, so far the police have not arrested any suspects.

The incident is the fourth shooting in the space of a week.

The nature of the violence has changed, says Caroline Aspegren, who is the local police area manager.

- In Södertälje, the most recent shootings have taken place in the afternoon and early evening.

Which we haven't seen before, she says.
