  At least 127 people were killed and 180 injured in a riot at a local stadium in East Java province following a football match, Indonesian police said, according to Reuters.

The latest news from the Associated Press said that 129 people were killed in the incident.

  After the football game, team supporters stormed the pitch, sparking a stampede and police fired tear gas into the crowd, reports said.

Multiple players who were still on the pitch at the time were also allegedly attacked.

  More than 300 people were rushed to nearby hospitals, but many died tragically during transport or during treatment, Sky News said.
