Gas leak with explosion in a building in Florence: no injuries

Night of fear but, fortunately, without victims or injured in Florence. 

In the central Via dell'Agnolo, a few steps from the Basilica of Santa Croce, at three o'clock this night a building collapsed following the gas leak.

According to firefighters, the leak initially affected a first floor apartment.

Then the explosion, which caused the interior partition walls to collapse. 

The Civil Protection of the Municipality of Florence has found temporary accommodation for families residing at the Misericordia of Florence.
