“We drew attention to the contradictory statements of the Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security J. Sullivan on the situation with sabotage on the international gas pipelines of Nord Stream,” the diplomatic mission said in a Telegram message.

It is noted that Sullivan categorically dismissed the involvement of the United States in organizing the attacks.

Also, the embassy announced the attempts of the White House to "sweep under the carpet" uncomfortable questions about who benefits from the break in energy ties between Moscow and Europe.

UN Assistant Secretary-General Naveed Hanifa said that the organization is not yet able to verify the details of the incidents at Nord Stream.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that the Anglo-Saxons organized sabotage on the Nord Stream.
