North Korea's chief nuclear representatives from the United States, South Korea and Japan had a phone call and condemned North Korea's successive launches of ballistic missiles.



The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said today (1st) that South Korea's chief representative for North Korea's nuclear program, Kim Geon, the head of the Korean Peninsula Peace Negotiation Headquarters, spoke with the US and Japan's chief representatives, Sung Kim, the US special representative for North Korea, and Takehiro Funakoshi, director of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, respectively.



According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the senior representatives of the three countries strongly condemned North Korea's four missile provocations in a week, including firing a short-range ballistic missile on the same day.



He also pointed out that North Korea's missile launch clearly violates UN Security Council resolutions and poses a serious threat not only to the Korean Peninsula but also to the international community as a whole.



They also lamented that North Korea was wasting resources on missile provocations despite the economic difficulties and the seriousness of people's livelihood.



Starting on the 25th of last month, North Korea has launched short-range ballistic missiles from the 28th and 29th until today.



Whenever North Korea provokes a missile, General Kim Geon talked on the phone with the US and Japan and discussed countermeasures.
