Among other things, employers may now make three exceptions to the last-in/first-out principle upon notice.

It will be a simpler process for employers to terminate for personal reasons.

- The employer gets a little more influence over who will lose their job, says Martin Wästfelt, head of negotiations at Unionen.

On the other hand, those who lose their jobs have the right to more support and adjustment.

So have those who still have their jobs.

- You have significantly better tools you can get help with, says Martin Wästfelt.

Another change is that fixed-term employment will be more quickly converted into a permanent job, it should be enough to have worked 12 months at the same job during a five-year period.

In total, there are many changes.
