“Today Ukraine is applying to do this de jure,” he said in a statement posted on social media.
He clarified that the Ukrainian authorities are signing an application for NATO membership in an expedited manner.
Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau, in an interview with RMF FM radio station, did not rule out the participation of NATO forces in hostilities in Ukraine if nuclear weapons were used there.
