Russia vetoes Security Council resolution on annexation of 4 Ukrainian regions

On Friday, Russia used its veto to prevent the adoption of a resolution in the UN Security Council condemning its annexation of four Ukrainian regions, while China abstained from the vote and the same three other countries.

The draft resolution prepared by the United States and Albania was supported by ten member states, with four abstentions: China, India, Brazil and Gabon.
