“A cap on Russian gas will not solve the problem of high prices in European markets, in no European country,” she told reporters.

Such a decision "would be discrimination for Poland and many other countries that have already become independent of Russian gas," the Polish minister said.
European Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson has previously proposed a price cap on all Russian gas and said the EC is in favor of negotiating price corridors only with those suppliers with whom the EU "can negotiate."
