“The flow of passengers at the Darial checkpoint has significantly decreased.

The number of border crossings by citizens of the Russian Federation at all border checkpoints of Georgia has also decreased,” the ministry’s statement says.

In the period from September 28 to 29, more than 9.5 thousand Russians arrived in Georgia, 5.4 thousand Russian citizens left.

Car traffic at the specified checkpoint returned to the previous regime, thanks to which it was possible to restore transit traffic.

The head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, earlier announced the stabilization of the situation at the Upper Lars checkpoint on the border with Georgia.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that it does not plan to ask Kazakhstan, Georgia and other states for the forced return of Russians in these countries as part of a partial mobilization.
