Gradually, the number of positive cases for Covid-19 is increasing in Ile-de-France.

Thus from September 19 to 25 (S38), Public Health France (SPF) counted 32,505 new cases against 24,958 in S37 and 14,843 in S36.

That's still a doubling in just two weeks.

Same evolution for the positivity rate increased from 11% in S36 to 15.1%, two weeks later.

“In S38, the raw regional incidence rate measured was 262 cases per 100,000 inhabitants [against 201 per 100,000 inhabitants in S37], up for the 2nd consecutive week”, adds Public Health France.

The number of new hospitalizations also increased from 377 in W37 to 473 in W38.

Only the number of deaths remains stable (from 15 to 16) but could increase if this new wave is confirmed.

Consequently, “the application of barrier gestures remains recommended in particular in the context of the start of the school year, lower temperatures which favor gatherings in closed spaces, vaccination coverage which is still incomplete”, indicates SPF.

The latter also recalls that "vaccination (and recall) of all eligible persons remains essential".
