A few days ago, there were multiple leaks in the two "North Stream" natural gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea, and a strong underwater explosion was detected in the nearby waters.
Russia, Sweden, Denmark and other countries have announced to investigate related incidents.
A Russian presidential spokesman has said that the U.S. opposes the pipelines and that U.S. LNG suppliers could reap “huge profits” because their supply to Europe “has increased several times.”
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman also asked the US side to give a detailed explanation of US President Biden's previous remarks on "terminating the 'North Stream-2' pipeline".
A White House spokesman said at a press conference on the 28th that what Biden said at the time was the "end" method, in fact, to push the German government to freeze the "Nord Stream-2" project, and the United States should not be responsible for the leak of the "North Stream" pipeline.
