The Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai confirmed that the school education system in the Emirate of Dubai continues to enhance its capabilities by expanding alternatives and solutions that allow students’ families to obtain the best educational curricula, within rich learning environments for their children at various educational levels, starting with the early childhood centers that have reached In Dubai, there are 226 centers that receive a total of more than 20,000 children belonging to 58 nationalities and diverse cultures.

An infographic issued by the authority entitled "Stations... The most prominent features of the early childhood care and education sector in Dubai" showed that about 70% of children enrolled in early childhood centers are between two and four years old, which reflects the attractiveness of the early childhood sector as an educational option that meets the needs of Parents at this important age stage of their children’s development, as it contributes to building their personality and forming the first building blocks of their cognitive awareness at an early age.

The authority launched a new service that allows students' families to search for approved early childhood centers in Dubai, according to geographical location, through the directory of educational institutions available on its website, in addition to the authority's application on smart phones.

The Director General of the authority, Dr. Abdullah Al Karam, said that Dubai is distinguished as the city that creates the future.

Developing children's passion and love for early childhood learning is an integral part of Dubai's future.

By providing a rich learning experience for every child in early childhood, parents feel reassured about the availability of care opportunities for their children within a positive and stimulating environment, and this is reflected in the increase in the enrollment rates of children in early childhood centers.

He added: “We continue to build a thriving sector based on quality early childhood education and care, and encourage more parents to give their children an enjoyable and useful learning experience. We are committed to continuing to work together to achieve our common goal and meet the aspirations of our children, our city and our country.”

The early childhood centers in Dubai implement 13 curricula and a diversified educational program.

The Early Childhood Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is the most widely applied in this sector, as it is applied in about 177 early childhood centers, in addition to 12 centers that apply the Montessori curriculum, and seven that apply the International Pre-school Curriculum (IPC), in addition to five Washington State Curriculum, and five Ontario Curriculum apply.
