The heads of the Diet Affairs Committee of the ruling and opposition parties held talks ahead of the convocation of an extraordinary session of the Diet on March 3, and while the ruling parties requested cooperation in the operation of the Diet, the opposition parties have been accused of having ties to the former Unification Church. Hosoda, Speaker of the House of Representatives, requested a response as it was necessary to explain in the Diet.

The chairmen of the six ruling and opposition parties, including the Liberal Democratic Party and the Constitutional Democratic Party, met in the Diet on the morning of the 29th.

Among them, the Liberal Democratic Party's Diet Countermeasures Committee Chairman Takagi requested cooperation regarding the extraordinary Diet session to be convened on the 3rd of next month, saying, "We will strive to operate carefully, so please understand."

In response, Azumi, chairman of the Constitutional Democratic Party's Diet Affairs Committee, said, "With less than a week until the convocation, there is no explanation of the bills the government will submit, and the sloppy handling of the Diet is neglecting the public. If you continue, we will confront you thoroughly,” he stressed.

The opposition parties demanded that the ruling party take action, stating that House of Representatives Speaker Hosoda, who has been accused of having a relationship with the former Unification Church, needs to explain to the Diet.

In addition, the opposition party requested that the Board of Directors of the House of Representatives Steering Committee discuss the verification of former Prime Minister Abe's "state funeral" and the standards and rules for implementing "state funeral" in the future. The ruling party side conveyed the idea to take it back and consider it.

Liberal party chairman Takagi "I want to try to manage the Diet carefully"

Takagi, chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party's Diet Affairs Committee, told reporters, "I asked for understanding and cooperation regarding the operation of the Diet, and received various opinions from the chairman of the opposition party's Diet Affairs Committee. Based on this, I would like to keep in mind the careful management of the Diet."

Ritsumin Azumi National Affairs Committee Chairman "The LDP is backwards in reforms and is not enthusiastic about information disclosure"

Regarding former Prime Minister Abe's "state funeral", the chairman of the Constitutional Democratic Party's Diet Affairs Committee, Azumi, told reporters, "I said that we would agree to discuss verification and strict rules at the Diet's Operational Committee. The LDP was talking about 'taking it back and considering it.' The LDP is backwards in all reforms and unenthusiastic about all information disclosure.

Komei, deputy representative of the north side, ``Let's cooperate firmly with the ruling and opposition parties.''

At a press conference, Komeito's vice-president of the North side commented that the opposition parties were criticizing that the ruling party was late in presenting the session of the extraordinary session of the Diet, saying, ``In terms of measures for the Diet, the ruling party will try to communicate firmly with the opposition. The issue of the finance minister's overseas business trip suddenly came up, but I think that the opposition parties already knew about it. With the cooperation of the government, the Diet must be held smoothly, and I would like to have close cooperation."
