The deputy of Compromís in the

Congress of Deputies

, Joan Baldoví, will finally take the step and will present himself at the Compromís primaries to be the candidate of the Valencian coalition for the

Generalitat

.

That is, to replace Mónica Oltra in the regional elections of 2023.

Baldoví was in all the pools of the training to face the leadership vacuum that has led to the departure of the former vice president of the Generalitat, accused in the case that investigates the alleged cover-up in the Ministry of Equality of the complaint of sexual abuse against her ex husband.

The deputy has confirmed to La Sexta that he will appear in the primaries that Compromís will hold at the beginning of next year.

Sources around him have confirmed to this newspaper that the decision has been made after consulting personally with Oltra herself and with the other heavyweight of the formation, the mayor of Valencia,

Joan Ribó

.

Baldoví, therefore, will appear in the primaries to head the Compromís list for the regional elections and opt to preside over the Generalitat.

Baldoví belongs to the main party that makes up the Compromís coalition, Més.

The current vice president of the Generalitat,

Aitana Mas

, from Initiative (Oltra's party), has already said that she did not close the door to running for the primaries.
