"U.S. citizens should not visit Russia, and those who reside there or travel within Russia should leave the country immediately while limited commercial travel opportunities remain," the warning said.
The Embassy clarifies that it has serious limitations in its ability to assist US citizens to leave Russia.
On September 24, the US State Department urged the athletes to leave Russia immediately.
