The mayor of Bornholm on the gas leaks: "We are in safe hands"

Among the Bornholmen, the gas leaks in the sea are outside the given topic of conversation.

And their mayor Jacob Tröst understands that.

- When something happens that we are not used to, it creates insecurity.

It is not so strange, he says.

No cause for concern

But he believes there is no cause for concern.

There is no indication that the leaks would be dangerous to humans.

- The authorities are working on this and we also have cooperation between the countries around the Baltic Sea, he says.

- There are many talented people who are sorting out what happened.

We are in safe hands.
