The European Union warns of any attack on its facilities

The European Union warned, today, Wednesday, of any attack on its energy facilities, in a statement issued by Josep Borrell, the European Union's official in charge of external relations.

Speaking on behalf of the 27 member states of the European Union, Borrell stressed: "Any deliberate tampering with European energy facilities is totally unacceptable and will be met with a strong and united response."

And the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, considered that the gas leaks that were detected in the two pipelines, "Nord Stream", were the result of an act of sabotage.

"I spoke with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen about the act of sabotage against Nord Stream," von der Leyen said in a tweet on the social networking site "Twitter".

And the European official warned that "any deliberate disruption of the energy infrastructure in Europe is unacceptable and will lead to the strongest possible response."
